- Open the learning paths and choose a project available on your plan.
- Read the expected deliverable. For spreadsheet activities, tap a cell and edit it through the fx bar; for conceptual questions, choose an answer.
- Check your answer, read the explanation and try again when needed.
- Open your Skills Passport: each distinct validated activity records a skill, without duplicating entries for repetition.
The Passport records educational practice in the app. It is not official certification or proof of using features in full Excel.
Everyday help
Do I need an account or subscription?
Free local practice can be used without an account. An account lets you use connected services when available. The leaderboard requires verified email and your choice to join. Plus and Teams expand content and options; a subscription starts only through your action and store confirmation.
How is progress stored?
Drafts and local progress remain on your device. With a connected account, activity outcomes sent to the service populate your synchronized Passport. Device-only records are not guaranteed to be recoverable elsewhere. Check your account state before clearing storage.
How do challenges, leaderboards and groups work?
Challenges award points for completion validated within the deadline. The public leaderboard shows nicknames and depends on opting in. Groups compare points between people and departments; devices do not compete against each other. Accepting an invitation requires agreement to join and share learning information with the organizer. Screens labeled as demonstrations remain fictional examples.
What do the plans add?
Free includes two complete paths and the first project of six other initial paths. Plus includes all nine paths, including Shortcuts and productivity. Teams extends Plus to up to ten people, including the organizer, with group features. The plans screen and store offer show the available price, period and conditions. If purchases are unavailable, continue with free projects.
How do I cancel or restore a subscription?
Use Manage subscription to open its purchase platform and cancel renewal. Restore purchases using the same store account and sign into the SheetRise account associated with the purchase. A connection failure does not confirm cancellation or require buying again. Signing out, uninstalling or deleting your account does not cancel renewal. Check the store's status.
What works offline?
Content included in the installation and local practice available on your plan do not require opening external documentation. Accounts, challenge validation, leaderboards, groups and store checks need a connection. Paid content needs confirmed access; lack of connectivity may limit subscription verification.
Can I open my spreadsheets or run all of Excel?
SheetRise uses fictional data and an educational simulator. It does not import personal files or run macros or Office Scripts. Formulas and commands have their own limited scope. Topics such as Power Query and PivotTables may use conceptual assessments; each activity explains its objective. Listing a function in the reference library does not mean the simulator runs it.
Are hints generated by live AI?
Hints and AI-response examples are educational material written for the activities. The app does not send answers to an AI model, connect to Copilot or activate Microsoft licenses.
How do I delete my account or local data?
Open Account → Delete my account for an authenticated request. If you lost the app or access, use the external deletion request page. Email requests require ownership confirmation rather than automatic deletion. Read the effects and retention in the policy.
Clearing Android app data, deleting the iOS app or removing browser site data removes local records without deleting the connected account or canceling a subscription. JSON export, when offered, is local and available only in the browser.
